Shhhh, don’t tell the bees, but my friends tell me that there is an easier way!

I arrived at school today to find this on my desk…… yes, a jar of honey.

The easier way.....

  1. I am caught up with all of the adventures of your little ladies! What an experience, Julie. Your writing tells a beautiful story while teaching us much about this work. I had no idea of some of the inner workings of these colonies. I look forward to more episodes!

  2. Is that a jar of “factory” honey? What’s next, buying our clothes in a “store,” NOT making our furniture? This is a slippery slope indeed. Well, or maybe it’s a sticky slope. But in either case it’s definitely a slope, and it is going down.

  3. I find that short, smart posts with photos pack a powerful punch! This is such a wonderful blog- filled with joy and wonder- I want to start keeping bees!

  4. Who would suspect that bees could inspire such lovely prose! Main hive, honey super, bee excluder…new terms for most readers. I’m wondering if you would consider a teacher like move of putting a quick definition next to the words so we can understand things even more fully. Now that you have beegun your blogging journey, we beelieve in you, we are beehind you, at your beehest, well, you can see that this play on words can go on forever!

  5. Why haven’t I gotten an invitation sooner??? These are very funny stories. The pictures add a nice visual. Have you shared your blog with your students? I like the way you add dialogue into your stories about the bees.
